True Grit:
Life on the Northern Plains
Life in Interior, South Dakota is like stepping back into an earlier time. The people and animals are living far from cities and digital onslaught. Days are spent tending to cattle and the farm, carving out a simple life juxtaposed along the border of the magnificent moonlike Badlands National Park. Weather can be unforgiving and unpredictable, and survival seems a little more tenuous. When storms subside, the air turns quiet and skies expand, bringing to mind the hope and promise of settlement in the earliest days of American West.

Tennessee Time Capsule
On the outskirts of Jackson, Tennessee sits an outcropping of perfectly preserved 100 year old log homes and buildings. We explore what a day in the life of one grizzled frontiersman might have resembled in those days gone by.

Scotland Sojourn
Sloggy terrain, unrelenting drizzle, and punishing wind defined my exploration of the remarkable Isle of Skye. Each vista discovered felt like a reward for the sacrifice of comfort. There is a paradox of rugged beauty alongside whimsical hamlets where all seems to fit together in this faerie-land. I've only begun my journey of discovery here.
