A Little Bit About Me...

I've had a camera in my hand since about the age of 7. My dad is a photography enthusiast and I learned about camera mechanics, film development and printing from him. I've always had a passion for capturing the world from my unique perspective, being influenced equally by art and motion-picture storytelling.

I was fortunate to attend and graduate from Brooks Institute of Photography when it was in the prime of it's "best in the world" status. The training I received gave me my foundation today. This education and subsequent real life experience brought me from the southernmost tip of Florida to the shores of the magnificent California coast. I returned to my Florida roots after several years out west, but I will always feel bi-coastal at heart.

I've been a commercial photographer for most of my career and still love learning and building on my skills. I am never one to rest on the notion of "good enough." I'm always looking for the next challenge because it is still exciting to create images and bring out the best in my photographic subjects.

In my time away from image-making, I love spending time with my husband and daughter as well as our menagerie of pets. You may find me crafting a recipe in the kitchen or dabbling in an interior design endeavor. I think art takes many forms and I find joy in expressing my creativity in a variety of disciplines.
